Description

This part of the sky located in the constellation Aries has a lot of dust nebulosity as well as the reflection nebulae Vdb 16 (near top) and Vdb 13 (bottom left) as well as some exotic objects known as Herbig-Haro Objects (HH), and RNO objects. HH objects are formed when narrow jets of gas ejected by young stars collide with clouds of gas and dust nearby at speeds of several hundred kilometers per second. In this image, HH369 and Bernes 63 are located at lower right of center (small yellow nebulous spots). The lower of the two is referred to as a 'YSO' or young stellar object candidate. I don't know what RNO objects are.

Details: NP127is at f4.1; Atik 383L+ at -18 deg C; Orion EQ-G mount;TS OAG; Astrodon E series LRGB filters. Exposure: 8.6 hours Luminance; 90 min each RGB. All LRGB binned 2x2. Taken at Grandview Campground October 2013.
